Part-time Information Systems Technician
LOCATION: Sikeston Admin Offices
The Part-time Information Systems Technician will provide information technology maintenance support to the Agency. The Part-time Information Systems Technician will assist with installing and maintaining local and wide area network systems, technical support for software and hardware, limited training on software, phone system maintenance and any other Information System areas as necessary by utilizing skills and completing the duties as listed below:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following and other duties may be assigned.
Installs and maintains local and wide area network hardware, software and telecommunications services such as personal computers, system software, software applications, printers, servers, routers, switches, etc.
Establishes and maintains network users, user environment, directories and security issues.
Regularly visits sites to ensure proper maintenance and upkeep of remote centers’ equipment.
Trains users on software and equipment usage.
Communicates with Agency personnel face-to-face, over the phone, etc. to report and resolve software, hardware and operational problems.
Assists with maintenance of phone system including updates, system maintenance, research for Central Office as well as all other DAEOC sites.
Assists with maintenance of Agency copiers, including repairs, updates, etc.
Installs and tests software upgrades for the Agency.
Develops and maintains files from in-house and remote centers’ reports.
Must be able to travel and be available for occasional overnight stays out of the area for training.
The applicant will be responsible for Public Relations of DAEOC, networking and linking Family and Community Development programs with local Communities and Organizations, and will also be active with Community Projects and local Agencies.
A two-year degree in Communication, or a related field, along with two years related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Applicant must have a driver’s license valid in Missouri, transportation and insurance.
