EDUCATION/SOCIAL EMOTIONAL WELLNESS SPECIALIST
LOCATION: PORTAGEVILLE CENTRAL OFFICE
Delta Area Economic Opportunity Corporation, a Missouri Community Action Agency, is seeking an Education/Social Emotional Wellness Specialist for the Children’s Services Department.
Duties assigned to this position:
Ensuring compliance with the Head Start Performance Standards and recognized best practices in the field of early childhood education.
Responsible for monitoring Staff in the Program’s currently chosen/implemented strategies as well as industry recognized developmentally appropriate practices for classroom management, child development, and early learning.
Will work in conjunction with Education/Social Emotional Wellness Coaches to ensure Fidelity in Curriculum, CLASS, and Conscious Discipline.
Positively promotes Head Start/Early Head Start in the community.
BS/BA in Early Childhood Development or related field required. Experience working with infants, toddlers and/or preschool children.
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communication and manage well at all levels of the organization. Ability to work collaboratively other content specialists, center directors, teachers, staff, children and families. Mission driven and effective working in a team-oriented environment. Understanding of DAEOC’s six county service area.
