LOCATION: PORTAGEVILLE CENTRAL OFFICE
POSITION: EDUCATIONAL SERVICES LEAD
This position supervises, coaches, and mentors the Education Specialist/Coach positions (Education Team). Responsible for the development and oversight of the educational service area; ensuring compliance with the Head Start Performance Standards and recognized best practices in the field of early childhood education. Responsible for mentoring and coaching Staff in the Program’s currently chosen/implemented curriculum, screenings, assessment & strategies as well as industry recognized developmentally appropriate practices for classroom management, child development, and early learning.
Bachelor’s degree (B. A) or higher in Early Childhood Development or a related filed and a minimum of five years of related experience working with infants, toddlers, and/or preschool children. Three years minimum supervisory/coaching experience required.
Travel will be required within the six county service area.
