COMPUTER APPLICATIONS INSTRUCTOR
LOCATION: PORTAGEVILLE CENTRAL OFFICE
This position will serve as the Computer Applications Instructor at the Adult Education Center in Portageville, Missouri. The instructor will be experienced in Microsoft Office Suite and utilize a hands-on learning lab with adult students.
Other duties may be assigned:
Utilizes active learning and adult student success strategies in the classroom.
Keeps students informed of course progress both verbally and/or electronically.
Informs students of relevant educational and occupational opportunities.
Recognizes, understands and embraces diversity in the classroom.
Conducts classes as scheduled by Adult Education Coordinator.
Utilizes appropriate written and oral communication skills.
Understands and appropriately utilizes all instructional technology as available in classrooms and labs.
As appropriate, maintains classroom and/or lab equipment in good order
Bachelor’s Degree in Education is preferred. Experience in teaching computer applications and/or adult learners is required.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
